India vs Bangladesh T20 Match 2009: India won by 25 runs

The match was dominated by India, at one stage Bangladesh seemed to justify pull off a victory but an excellent all round performance from Indian team led them to clear victory.

Indian cricket team has got their first win against Bangladesh by 25 runs at Nottingham. Defending champion team once again has proved that they are still top favorite team in this format of cricket tournament. Yuvraj Singh and Pragyan Ojha kept important role behind India’s win. We can say that these two batsmen had potential role to reach India team in a destination. After winning the toss, Indian skipper MS Dhoni elected to bat first and scored 180 runs in their allotted over. They had to loss 5 wickets to earn this score.

After coming to chase this score, Bangladesh could collect 155 runs. Pragyan Ojha was the main destroyer of this match. He took 4 wickets for 21 runs. With the bat, Yuvraj Singh scored 41 off 18 balls where he hit 4 sixes and 3 boundaries. Gautam Gambhir alone scored 50 runs but he spent more balls.

For Bangladesh team, Junaid Siddique played well and scored 41 runs. However, Bangladesh failed to make any upset of this game. Both teams have one match left. India will try to be the group champion. On the other hand, Bangladesh will face Ireland to make sure their second round.
